Band from TV’s Album Now Available at Amazon
The long awaited album from Band from TV, "Hoggin’ All the Covers" is available today, October 28, at Amazon.com. 100% of BFTV’s proceeds are being donated to charity.
The DVD/CD features live performances of 13 classic rock n’ roll hits including "Piece of My Heart," "Pink Cadillac," and "The Letter." The band was originally formed by Greg Grunberg of Heroes for a special one-night only performance but it quickly evolved into much more. Fellow actors Hugh Laurie of House (vocals, keyboards), James Denton of Desperate Housewives (vocals, guitar), Bob Guiney of Date My House (vocals), Bonnie Somerville of Cashmere Mafia (vocals) and various other celebrities, have joined Greg (drums) in raising almost two million dollars for charitable causes.
"My oldest son has epilepsy and I saw this band as a wonderful vehicle to help raise money and remove the stigma for the Epilepsy Foundation," comments Grunberg. "Having bandmates who also happen to be on some of the most popular shows on television creates an amazing opportunity to really reach out to our fans to help support wonderful causes by logging on to http://www.amazon.com/bandfromtv and purchasing the DVD" adds Grunberg. Laurie supports Save the Children, Denton supports Donate Life, Guiney supports The Art of Elysium and Somerville supports the Child Abuse Prevention Program and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Other frequent members of Band from TV, not featured on this CD, are Jesse Spencer of House, Teri Hatcher of Desperate Housewives, and Adrian Pasdar of Heroes.
