Britney Spears Wins Big at VMAs
Britney Spears didn’t make a comeback performance like many had hoped, but she did manage to make a clean sweep of the the categories in which she was nominated. Spears opened the awards by acting in a short comedy bit with actor Jonah Hill, and then appearing on-stage to start the show. Throughout the night, Britney was honored with 3 Moon Men - Female Video, Pop Video and the coveted Video of the Year award. The awards marked her first career wins at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Hip-hop video: Lil Wayne, “Lollipop.”
Dancing in a video: The Pussycat Dolls, “When I Grow Up.”
