NBC, “Ice Road Truckers” Producers Ink a Truckload of Reality Deals

The producers of the highly successful and intriguing Ice Road Truckers on The History Channel has inked a big deal for reality programming with NBC.

I guess we have more evidence about how the settlement of that writers’ strike is going for comedy and drama programs.

Here’s a blurb from The Hollywood Reporter:

NBC acts on Original idea for 3-series block

NBC has inked an innovative deal with “Ice Road Truckers” creator Thom Beers and producers Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun. Under the pact, the network has given the green light to three hourlong action-adventure reality series. . . .
