NBC Rebrands Wednesday as “Crime Night”

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

"Find Your Happy Place" NBC is making some changes to its fall lineup, shuffling several of it’s crime dramas to Wednesdays.  The new Wednesday night schedule will be Knight Rider at 8pm, Law & Order at 9pm and Life at 10pm.  The new lineup premieres Nov. 5.  Lipstick Jungle will move from Wednesday nights at 10 p.m., to Friday night starting Oct. 31.

NBC is also moving the premiere of upcoming reality show Mommas Boys to Dec. 16.  The show will then move to Mondays at 9 p.m., taking over the Heroes slot during the show’s winter break.

This is potentially good news for Life, one of my favorite shows right now.  Rating have been lower for the sophomore drama this season after it moved from Wednesdays to Fridays. I’ll be crossing my fingers that viewers will show up on Wednesdays.

Full Season Pickups Abound

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

knightrider It’s that time of the season when networks start deciding what shows will stay and what will go in their schedules.  This season is a bit unique due to the strike.  In addition to all of the new shows awaiting their fate, there are also several sophomore series with unsure futures.

While some shows, like Chuck and 90210, got early pickups, some shows have had to wait to find out if they will receive full season orders.  In just the last week, full season pick-up announcements have been plentiful.  Here are the shows that have received full season orders from the networks so far:

CBS

  • The Mentalist

NBC

  • Chuck
  • Knight Rider

ABC

  • Private Practice

FOX

  • Fringe
  • Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles

CW

  • 90210

We’ll keep you posted as other announcements are made.
