NBC Picks Up ‘Life’ for Full Season

Saturday, November 8th, 2008

"Find Your Happy Place" I am breathing a sigh of relief as one of my favorite dramas has received a back nine order.  Life, the drama about a cop wrongly accused of murder who gets a second chance at life when his conviction is overturned, has been picked up for the remainder of the season.

The show, which moved to Friday nights this season, got off to a rough start. The show moved to Wednesdays last week and improved slightly in the ratings, apparently enough to give NBC the confidence to keep it on the air for the rest of the season.

Life stars Damian Lewis as Charlie Crews, Sarah Shahi as Dani Reese, and Adam Arkin as Ted Early.  You can catch it (and please do!) on Wednesdays at 9pm ET, after Knight Rider.

NBC Rebrands Wednesday as “Crime Night”

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

"Find Your Happy Place" NBC is making some changes to its fall lineup, shuffling several of it’s crime dramas to Wednesdays.  The new Wednesday night schedule will be Knight Rider at 8pm, Law & Order at 9pm and Life at 10pm.  The new lineup premieres Nov. 5.  Lipstick Jungle will move from Wednesday nights at 10 p.m., to Friday night starting Oct. 31.

NBC is also moving the premiere of upcoming reality show Mommas Boys to Dec. 16.  The show will then move to Mondays at 9 p.m., taking over the Heroes slot during the show’s winter break.

This is potentially good news for Life, one of my favorite shows right now.  Rating have been lower for the sophomore drama this season after it moved from Wednesdays to Fridays. I’ll be crossing my fingers that viewers will show up on Wednesdays.

NBC to Debut Shows One Week Early on Hulu

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

logo NBC will debut the season premieres of some of its shows on the online streaming service Hulu one week before they air on television.

Knight Rider and Lipstick Jungle, which will premiere on NBC on September 24 will be available on Hulu on Wednesday September 17; Chuck and Life, which premiere September 29, will debut on Hulu September 22; and 30 Rock, which will premiere on October 30, will be available October 23 on Hulu.

Unfortunately, fans will have to wait to see favorites like Heroes, The Office, and My Name is Earl and the new shows My Own Worst Enemy and Crusoe.  They will debut on the network as scheduled and then be available on Hulu within a few days, usually the next day.

For the full schedule, see Hulu’s Fall Premiere Lineup.
