CBS Cancels ‘Swingtown’
At the CBS portion of the TCA press tour yesterday, network president Nina Tassler confirmed what many suspected - Swingtown has been canceled.
"We’re not going back to Swingtown…At the end of the day the show was well executed, it was well received, the performances were great, the writing was great. It was a risk, we took it, and we’re proud of it."
The show finished out its initial 13 episode run in September but, after poor ratings, it was not expected to be renewed.
The series, set in the summer of 1976, follows the Miller family as they relocate to an affluent Chicago suburb where they find that their neighbors have an open marriage. Jack Davenport, Molly Parker, Grant Show and Lana Parrilla star.
