CBS Pulls ‘The Ex List’
CBS has pulled the romantic dramedy The Ex List from its schedule effective immediately making it the first new drama pulled this season. The show joins Fox’s comedy, Do Not Disturb, and ABC’s game show, Opportunity Knocks.
The future of the series isn’t certain, as it has not been officially canceled, but this can’t be a good sign.
The series stars Elizabeth Reaser, formerly of Grey’s Anatomy, who revisits past romances in search of the “One.” The show has been troubled with low ratings and the exit of the original showrunner, Diane Ruggiero.
The Ex List started with decent numbers but has quickly dropped in the ratings, hitting a low this past week, drawing fewer than 5.6 million viewers. It’s lead-in, Ghost Whisperer brought in nearly 10 million viewers, with the follow-up timeslot, Numbers, hitting 9.1 million.
Short term plans for the timeslot include NCIS repeats on Oct. 31 and Nov. 7 and a repeat of Numb3rs on Nov. 14.
