‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’ Premiere Delayed
USA Network has postponed the return of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, pushing back the season premiere from November 7th to sometime in the first quarter of 2009. No real reason was given for the change, except that the delay will allow the season’s 16 episodes to run uninterrupted.
Oscar nominee Jeff Goldblum joins the cast when the show returns. He will play Detective Zach Nichols, who replaces Chris Noth’s character, Detective Mike Logan. In addition to Goldblum, the show stars Vincent D’Onofrio as quirky Detective Robert Goren, Kathryn Erbe as Detective Alexandra Eames, Julianne Nicholson as Detective Megan Wheeler and Eric Bogosian as Captain Danny Ross.
This marks the eighth season for the crime drama, which moved from NBC to USA Network last season.
