Morning Joe: Condemns Fox Noise’s John Gibson’s Tasteless “Jokes” Over Death of Heath Ledger

Keith Olbermann on MSNBC’s Countdown had named Fox Noise’s John Gibson its Worst Person of the Day last night for Gibson’s tasteless “jokes” about the death of actor Heath Ledger.
According to Media Matters, conservative talker Joe Scarborough joined his liberal colleague Olbermann in also condemning the remarks.
From Media Matters:
This morning, MSNBC’s Morning Joe discussed recent comments made by Fox News’ John Gibson about the death of actor Heath Ledger, calling them “grossly inappropriate,’ “totally out of line, and “hateful. Gibson discussed Ledger’s death on his radio show, suggesting Ledger was a “weirdo and used clips from Ledger’s film Brokeback Mountain to make light of his death. As Media Matters has noted, Gibson was one of many media personalities to mock the film when it was released. I encourage you to join Morning Joe in speaking out to condemn Gibson’s tasteless comments.
Besides being sick, Gibson didn’t know all the facts. Ledger’s death, I believe, is currently still under investigation and is probably accidental rather an suicide.
I hope you’ll let Gibson know that his disrespect of Ledger is classless and also thank Olbermann and Scarborough for coming to Ledger’s defense.
