TV Comebacks: ABC’s ‘Millionaire’ and Ray Romano
ABC is considering a revival of the gameshow-that-saved-a-network, Who Wants to be a Millionare. The show, which debuted in August 1999, could return to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its debut on the network. It is unclear if Regis Philbin would be able to return as host since he is currently hosting CBS’ Million Dollar Password.
The show pulled ABC out of a slump back in 1999 and 2000 and the network eventually built their entire schedule around the show, a move that proved to be detrimental in the long run. It took them several years to recover after the show’s popularity declined.

TNT has ordered 10 episodes of Ray Romano’s new drama Men of a Certain Age. The show looks at male friendships through the eyes of three 40-something college friends - Joe (Romano), Owen (Adre Braugher) and Terry (Scott Bakula). It is written by Romano and Mike Royce.
This will be the first series for Romano since the end of his highly successful CBS sitcom, Everybody Loves Raymond.
